SSI SCHÄFER Plastics
It all started with a box...
Fritz Schäfer, a qualified plumber and welder, started building his first transport box in 1935 in the laundry room of his house. On January 16, 1937, he achieved his goal and founded his own company for the production of sheet metal goods, which was registered in the official register of Burbach, Siegerland.
Over the past more than eight decades, the once small family business has developed into a SSI SCHÄFER Group a leading global solution provider for all areas of intralogistics.
The SSI SCHÄFER Plastics GmbH, legally spun off in 2022, is an independently operating company within the SSI SCHAEFER Group. Its core competence is plastic, which is used to produce sustainable solutions in the areas of waste technology, container systems and structural packaging.
