Under the motto "YOUR first class in PLASTICS", SSI SCHAEFER Plastics presented its portfolio of container systems and constructive packaging at Fachpack 2024 from September 24 to 26 in Nuremberg. The focus of the trade fair appearance in Hall 6, Stand 6/128 was on the storage, picking and transport containers for manual and automatic handling as well as the hazardous goods containers of the new SECON container brand for the safe transportation of used batteries.
"Many companies are concerned with the automation of storage and transportation processes. Our comprehensive product range of standardized containers and trays is designed to meet the requirements of automatic handling, e.g. on different conveyor systems, storage and retrieval machines, lifters, shuttles or various robots. We have many years of experience in the automotive, electronics, retail, food, pharmaceutical and postal industries. In addition, we implement individual solutions for our customers, including the option of hot or injection embossing and barcode labels, which can be applied using the inmould process, for example," says Christine Jorzik, Global Sales Director Containers at SSI Schaefer Plastics.
The highlight from the constructive packaging segment was the new SECON (Security Container) container brand, whose hazardous goods containers are suitable for the transportation of dangerous goods in packaging groups II and III. The strictly tested and certified containers are used to transport products such as airbags, lithium-ion batteries, batteries or belt retractors. They are available both as a KLT version for industrial use and as a conical reusable container (KMB) in various sizes and configurations.
At the SSI Schaefer Plastics stand, visitors to Fachpack were also able to find out about a wide range of individual packaging solutions, e.g. injection-molded workpiece carriers and thermoformed load carriers, and talk to experts about individual requirements and solutions in this area.
The topic of sustainability also played a special role at Fachpack 2024. For this reason, the reusable container solutions from SSI Schaefer Plastics are not only reusable and durable, but also 100 % recyclable and made from regranulate on request. For this reason, numerous container series and constructive packaging from the SSI Schaefer Plastics product range are also available with the Blue Angel seal. In order to support the customer's sustainability goals and reduce CO₂ emissions, e.g. when transporting empty containers, SSI Schaefer Plastics offers space-saving foldable or stackable transport containers whose volume can be reduced by up to 80 % when empty. Thomas Jettkant, Head of Project Sales: "SSI Schaefer Plastics also takes responsibility for taking back the containers at the end of their life cycle, regranulating them and producing new containers from the reclaimed material."
SSI Schaefer Plastics would like to thank the trade visitors for the lively exchange and invites interested parties to get to know the highly motivated team of the company, which has been operating independently within the SSI Schaefer Group since 2022. In addition to hands-on products and various digital information offerings, the 180 m² trade fair stand in Hall 6, Stand 6/128 also featured a lounge area and a photo corner with oversized sofas in container design.
